recommend feature
Finally got some free time over the holiday to get the recommend feature working. In short, you can suggest feeds to friends now with a simple email. The hope is that this will get people sharing blogs on a regular basis, thus increasing the community aspect of the site. I find myself wanting to share blogs with others often, but this gives them something a little more sticky so that they can also subscribe to the daily update for that blog. The signup process is so simple, thus making it even more transactional. From everything I've read from Gerry McGovern, Jakob Nielsen, and Seth Godin, I've decided I want to make a site that makes it easy to get the things done that the users want to get done, and nothing that they don't want.
This is another step in that direction.
